Whilst our accounting program offers an extensive array of support and help via the help screens, it is also impossible for any program of this type to solve all the issues and scenarios that pop up whilst using our software during the events of running your small business.
This is understandable and we accept this, we also know that accounting as a subject really sucks, and most contractors and small businesses hate doing it at the best of time. So when something does not go to plan, its easy to become even more annoyed.
Which is why we have placed some of the most commonly asked questions below.

Am I able to get a copy of the software on disk? |
At this stage we are not making our software available on cd, the software was designed with the internet in mind. You are free to download the software and store a copy on CD if you wish. |
The trial period ended and I cannot see me data, is it all lost? |
No your data is fine. Once the trial period ends you will see a screen that requests a serial number for continuation. Once you enter your personal serial number, you will have immediate access to all your data. |
I want to backup my data files to CD, but the Software is not allowing this to happen |
Due to software restrictions we are are unable to add a facility to backup direct to a CD, as the only way to talk to your CD is through your personal CD Software, so this is something we cannot perform. The backup process that comes with EasyAs is fantastic for backing up between other Hard Drives, Thumb Drives (removable disks) and other similar devices. You can however easily perform a manual backup of your Data File direct to a CD by copying the 2 data files using your CD Software. The 2 files to backup are called: EasyData.mdb & EasyAcct.mdb They are found at C:\Program Files\EasyAsAccts More information On Backup and Restore can be found on our dedication Page. |
| When I downloaded the Software it does not appear on my Start Menu, I cannot find it? |
When you download the software from our site it will save to a destination determined by the settings in your computer. Once you download you also have to install the software. If you are not familiar or unsure where the file was saved, simply do a search of your computer for a file called EasyAcct.exe. Once you locate the file use your mouse and double click using your left mouse button, then follow the prompts and install the software. |
| Is there a Mac Version of the Software ? |
Sorry, but at this stage we do not have version for Mac's. This software is only available for pc's that run the Windows operating systems. |
| Why do I see long rectangles or thick grids on my screen? |
EasyAs is created to run on machines using reasonable levels of graphics found in today's evolution of pc's. In most cases you experience rectangles across your screen because your screen settings are set too low, or you do not have a driver installed for your video card.
Check your screen settings and ensure that you have at least a Color Quality of 24bit. Once you change this setting you will experience the software in its fullness.
If your pc settings are unable to be changed and the rectangles bother the crap out of you, you can change the software settings to run on less than 24bit. Simply go to the Setup Menu and locate the icon that says "Screen and Color Settings" and change the setting to "less than 24 bit". You may also need to exit the program and then reopen it again, to allow the settings to take full effect. |
| Why is the Date Wrong ? |
If you are having problems with the date (mainly those from Australia), then check to see if your windows operating system is set to the US or Australian Dates. For anyone from any country who is having problems with dates, or they appear to be wrong, or it appears you cannot enter a complete financial year, then check the date settings of you pc. When Windows is setup on a pc, you always have the choice of deciding the date settings. But like most of us, we simply click yes and expect it will be ok. As EasyAs uses the date in your system it is out of our control. We do have some extra notes included in the software. If you click on the "Help Icon" on the main screen, you will see an icon towards the bottom of the main help screen which may provide extra assistance about date problems. |
