The information on the page is not going to be useful in most cases as you should have entered this information during the initial software setup.
However if you did not enter all the information during the setup here is a quick guide to re-entering the information into the software.
| 1 | Address - Entering your Business Address Details |
| 2 | Finance - Selecting the Tax System for your Country |
| 3 | Invoices - Enter your Invoice Numbers |
| 4 | Sales Tax - Edit the Name and/or Sales Tax Rate |
When following these steps below, you will also notice that many of the screens also have help icons. We also suggest that you should take a few minutes to glance at the information in the help by clicking the help icon (the help icon is usually represented by a Question Mark or the word Help)..
What you will notice with any of the help screens you visit they only contain information relevant to the screen you are in. This saves you time and confusion and puts you in total control of the software.
To setup your business address, phone number, email and other items used for invoicing etc..
Click on the "Setup" Icon on the Main Menu Screen |
Under
the General Heading, Click on the Icon that says "Change Your Business Details" |
You will now be presented with a pop up screen which has five boxes for five separate businesses or sets of books. The first line will consist of the name you entered when you first installed the software |
Next to your name you will see an icon that says "Edit", click this icon |
You can now enter all your address details and information. This screen is self explanatory, simply fill in the boxes - Remember that these details are mainly used for Invoices & Quotes. |
| You will also notice an area relating to Tax System and Invoice Numbering- please see below |
EasyAs is a one stop accounting system designed to be used by most countries on the metric system who's currency is at a ratio of 1/100. Because of this you may need to change the system of tax to suit your country. |
By default the software is set to a Single Tax System. This is noted by the word ON which is shown under the "1 Tax System" icon. |
If your country only adds one form of Sales Tax to goods or services, then you can leave this set on the default of 1 Tax System. |
If your country or region requires that you collect Two types of Sales Tax on goods or services then you will need to click on the icon that says "2 Tax System". To date we are only aware of one country where this may be applicable |
EasyAs is becoming a favorite for use by the residents of Canada. Some of the regions require that businesses collected the Federal Sales Tax and the Regional Sales Tax (BC Tax). If you are a resident of Canada and you are in one of these regions then you should change this setting to the 2 Tax System prior to entering any data into the program
|
With EasyAs you can set the software to start your Invoices, Quotes, Purchase Orders and Credit Notes from any number you choose.. |
By Default the system will start your numbers from number ONE |
| Why would you want to change this? |
In some industries it may appear more advantageous to represent to your clients the air of longevity. By starting your invoices a 150, or 500 or 5000, clients may assume you are a vibrant and lively enterprise, where as starting at number 1 may make them wonder if they are your first client for the year. |
Simply enter in the number you wish to start from. You may start your Invoices from a different number than you Quotes. You cannot however use any letters of the alphabet, only numbers. |
The Sales Tax Name and Rate are also found on this screen.. If you look towards the right of the screen you will notice that you can enter a default percentage rate of Sales Tax, and you can also enter 3 Letters for the name of the Sales Tax. For example, in Australia the name of the Sales Tax is - GST |
